This week Year 5 visited RAMM in Exeter where they became time travellers! They explored the museum, completing tasks on tablets and helping their character to go back through the portal to their place in time. All the children really engaged well in the activities. @RAMMuseum

Being a conservator can be a bit like being a modern-day Sherlock Holmes, using magnifying glasses and UV lights to examine objects. This is how we found out that the animal heads on this salt cellar are the work of a past conservator. #AskAConservator

A piece of royal history at RAMM is a 1902 Coronation Chocolate Bar. A large part of the daily work of a conservator is doing research on how to keep fragile objects stable in storage and keeping the pests away. How long would you save a bar of chocolate for? 🍫 #AskAConservator

As a conservator you might work on some weird and wonderful objects—presenting the asparagus tongs! Who knew that the Victorians needed a very specific utensil to handle asparagus and why are there not specific tongs for carrots or beans? #AskAConservator #ConservationJourney
