Some people say Shirou is a lot like a "generic shonen MC" in Fate and UBW, unlike in Heaven's Feel. Most shonen MCs I know are not that kind of self sacrificing hero. Shirou has more in common with Bruce Wayne than Luffy or Goku or Ichigo. Shonen MCs are more like HF Shirou.
