A #solarstorm comes! NOAA & NASA predict the storm launched during the X1.6-flare will hit Earth late May 5. NASA indicates the shockwave will cause the main disruption, with the bulk of the storm missing us. Expect #aurora shows to reach mid-latitudes but quiet down quickly.

There is an outpouring of love remembering Dave G7DIU on the morning net. Sadly now #silentkey.
He dedicated decades championing #HamRadio and supported all involved. He'll be greatly missed, but of course remembered in our radio stories for many years to come.

Bit of a shock on the net this morning. G7DIU announced his final transmission. He's been losing his motor skills & had to have someone else key the mic. He also struggles to talk. It sounded final. He was many people first contact on GB3OV and will be greatly missed on the air.

One of my favourite parts of #emfcamp is the Bring & Donate shop where attendees bring their ̵o̵l̵d̵ ̵c̵r̵a̵p̵ ̵unwanted treasure & donate to the #RedCross if they want to take it home. I’ve just picked up a stack of ETI mags & PCB’s. Many still attached! #Emfcamp2022
