@9Xve9 It's a Soulslike game, fight bosses, have fun, explore. That's about it, when you're ready for multiplayer, join a big guild and participate. Ultimately though, it's a mobile game with mobile game issues. Fun for casual play I suppose

@TheDezembro Well, I'm glad you're enjoying it more than Where Winds Meet. WWM was great for the first month but it's definitely struggling right now due to its many issues

Crimson Desert unlocked very late over here so I could only play a few hours. It looks like it's going to be a game with a lot of mechanical depth. Little systems to dig into. -- TLDR: It's like a fuckin' Semi Sandbox Open World with non-RPG RPG elements. You can climb a whole ass mountain and jump off but you can also pick up a spider, taste it, lose health because duh, its a fucking spider (yes it happened to me) and clean someone's chimney with a whole goddamn mechanic built for it because "why not? - Here's the goddamn world, go do things" -PearlAbyss, probably. -- -- -- -- -- 1.- It's trying to 'ground' you in it, too. While combat feels very 'free' and dynamic, movement can be annoying for those people who I still hear complaining about Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2026 because of the movement having 'weight' to it even though, once you're moving with momentum, you're literally gliding. And while "GROUNDED" it doesn't "GROUND" you, you can climb almost anything. Weight and additional animations and "shit" to interact with. Taking things has an animation, climbing has extra crap attached (you can stab? i stabbed a wall... nothing happened. Maybe its for monsters? Like Dogma?) you can pick up animals and boxes and shit to throw. You got tools to use, like I had to clean a chimney with a broom for example. You can mine shit. You got a "hook" mechanics, lets you hook to things, swing yourself around, boost a jump, or use in puzzles. Maybe people too? 2.- It's hard to explain in a post, but it's like these devs looked at RDR2 and Dragon's Dogma and went "Yes." Down to the detail in the towns. Loads of it and apt to first-person view which you can enable seamlessly. You can greet people, it increases some "trust" stat... You can put on a bandit mask and commit crimes... You can climb around and find open windows to sneak inside of homes... Pick up bounties which you should read to reveal details about the target to find them easier... 3.- The "organic adventure" feel is where it's at in this game. I went to grab a bounty that was 3000 m. away from my location, it was a whole thing. A mess, really, but in the best way possible. Game is built to get lost in and figure your way around things, managing yourself with your gear. I don't think this is going to be a game that just merely releases and nobody ever hears of again. It feels like a big one to get lost in for the people who have been dying to sink their teeth into something meaty. The kind of feeling that for example games like RDR2, KCD and Elden Ring give. Minus the story, which I don't know enough for now. Long story short, it's a thick bitch of a game, and even though it was marketed as a mainstream thing, it's definitely not a "wider audience" game because too much complexity throws off a whole demographic of gamers who prefer their open worlds simpler. À la Ubisoft, basically, before Ubisoft took that shit too far and forgot how to make games in general. It's tough to call it an RPG because I haven't even seen a stats menu yet, but it "FEELS" like one. Lots of stuff in here to bite into and enjoy if that you're the type of gamer who gets grabbed by balls/...ovaries? with big worlds to explore that actually put you IN the world, rather than... ugh.
