“The next president must say on day one: We’re tearing down this arch; we’re razing Trump’s ballroom…Washington ceremonial architecture must be returned to the purpose for which it exists—to promote democracy, not the demented ego of one sick man.” newrepublic.com/post/209211/tr…

☮🕊🍀 We applaud Leila Doolan, 91 years who walked 220km from Shannon airport to the Dáil in protest at US military use of Shannon airport She said 'Shannon is a civilian airport. It's not a military airport'. We object to our neutrality being absolutely endangered by this'.

Once upon a time this building was the beating pulse of Republican Cork. No.3 Fr Mathew Street was HQ of Cumann na mBan, Gaelic League, Na Fianna, etc etc. Visitors included James Connolly, Countess Markievicz, Cathal Brugha and many more. rebelstreetscork1919-1923.blogspot.com/2020/02/no3-fr…

18 Washington St. - HQ of Inghinidhe na hEireann Cork. The RIC raided it in 1902 to remove green flags flying from the top windows! The women inside the building barricaded the door but the police broke through and drew their batons on them. rebelstreetscork1919-1923.blogspot.com/2020/02/3-marl…
