@thismorning Police Officers have been using discretionary powers for many years. It is an unlawful (RUC v O’Hara) to order a police officer to make arrests. No one is saying shoplifting should be ignored or accepted, but circumstances surrounding each situation should be noted

@kittinpandaria No where near enough! They should be behind hard cover at least 400 metres for a vehicle that size. If you can’t find hard cover, double your distance

@ResponsePlod For the totally clueless on the topic - is that too much or not enough if you don't have enough information on the potential power of the explosive

A Mercury tilt switch on the device on a door, I know what, I’ll cut the bag so I’ll reduce its capability to hold the device and then to make it worse, I’ll set about removing the draught excluder on the door that holds the device. FFS! 🤦🏼‍♂️ #TriggerPoint

@girlinbluecurls Possibly TATP which is Triacetone/triperoxide or maybe even DADP which is diacetone/diperoxide. Easy to hand chemicals for improvised explosive devices. ANFO (ammonium nitrate fuel oil) was used a lot by IRA as red diesel was easy to come by
