Honestly - a few of the replies to this little tribute to engineering excellence exhibit a level of stupidity that suggests to me that it won’t be long before our spacecraft are the only thing that remains of our increasingly dim-witted civilisation. Until recently my guess has been that the answer to the Fermi Paradox might be found in biology - complex biological systems are rare. I’m increasingly of the view that the reason for The Great Silence is that civilisations are inevitably crushed by the weight of nobheads shortly after inventing the internet.

@RobBootle @DalerRowney Big agree, Rob. It's always taken constant work to maintain that freedom, and there have been many occasions on which I've slipped into process, resulting in an eventual loss of love for the work.

@BenTallon @DalerRowney Love that story, Ben. It is so difficult to break free from self-imposed limits, some people never do, some people do and relapse because it's comfortable. Just being aware of them in the first place is hard enough. Right tutor at the right time.

@DalerRowney The same goes for every person. Creativity is always, at least in-part, an extension of self, and benefits from exploration, experimentation, and play, all of which perfectionism can undermine.
