@RobOmo101 @MaxiG277 @onthesportmedia @AriWasserman There's been only two penalty goals at this world cup so far out of 46 goals scored. You simply don't get the game, for many countries, simply getting a point in a 0-0 tie game is an achievement. For curacao, losing 7-1 but managing to score 1 against Germany is an achievement

I don't know anything about soccer, so forgive me for my ignorance, but how is it humanly possible for Cape Verde to assemble a team that can prevent Spain from scoring a goal?

@MaxiG277 @onthesportmedia @AriWasserman Interesting take. IMO 15% is kind of high for the most boring win possible. Add in 0-0 games and 1-1 games (the only even more boring scores) and things are even bleaker. Of these 1-0 games, how many include the only "goal" as the ultra lame penalty shot variety?

@MaxiG277 @onthesportmedia @AriWasserman Also, a notable proportion of these "goals" are lame penalty shots where the goalie has barely a chance to stop the shot. The goalies must guess a side and often jump to the side opposite of where the ball is shot. Pretty lame!

@MaxiG277 @onthesportmedia @AriWasserman Too bad Germany didn't curb stomp Curaçao 20-1 to bump your cute "average" even higher! Cool competition. Median a better measure than average for this precise reason 🤡

@AriWasserman that's the beauty of football, a well organized defensive team can stop a superior team from scoring. what you witnessed was a defensive masterclass.

Back when i was a gloomy teenager i started smiling as a habit cause i thought it would trick my brain into releasing happiness hormones, it didn’t work but it made me look more friendly and thus people approached me more which was what ultimately lifted up my mood.

@KNBR If you think homosexuality is gross, just wait until you watch this abhorrent "team" play a major league baseball game 🤮

Why was it important to write that verse tonight? ROUPP: "The rainbow is a symbol of God's covenant to us, and us as believers stand firm in that... There's no hate at all." What would say if somebody considered that derogatory toward them as a community? ROUPP: "As a believer, I would push them to read the Bible. God has blessed me in so many ways and I don't think I'd be here right now if it wasn't for him."
KNBR@KNBR

Landen Roupp had Genesis 9:12-16 written on his pride hat tonight. "It's just about God's covenant and a promise that he makes to us." "It's just something I believe in and I stand firm in that. Thankfully we live in a country where we have the freedom to believe what we want."

@BontaHill Please tell me who in this bullpen has legitimately good stats in high leverage situations that you would feel comfortable burning for a single situational at bat against Busch in the 5th inning…

Idk why Tony V continues to go to Erik Miller in high-leverage situations. #SFGiants

I can’t lie… the food in America is ridiculous. Everyone talks about portion sizes but nobody talks enough about how GOOD everything tastes. Even the “quick” food feels elite compared to what I’m used to in the UK.

@957thegame @MorningRoast957 Reminds me of the young Tiger Woods interview where the journalist is trying to convince Tiger he shouldn't be expecting to win tournaments.
