Dr. Miranda Haus and Ph.D. Students Asia Hawkins and Gracey Sidberry are back from Nebraska! They had a lovely time at the 2025 Bean Improvement Cooperative Meeting, networking with other researchers, sharing their projects, and exploring all that Lincoln has to offer.

Not to brag but our Ph.D. Student Asia Hawkins got 2nd place in the GLPSC Poster Competition 2025 🤭 Check out her poster located outside A290 in PSSB!

Introducing our new undergraduate research assistant, Aiden Mullaney!! Aiden comes to us as a seasoned RA, having worked in two other labs at MSU. He is in his last year of a bachelor’s degree in Horticultural Science. Hey Aiden, hey!

Please join us in congratulating Grace Miller on becoming the first Ph.D. Candidate of the Root Haus Lab!!! This milestone is a testament to Grace’s hard work and dedication. We are so proud of her! 🎉

Our beloved Postdoctoral Researcher Vivi is officially on to bigger and better things! It was so nice to celebrate last week over sushi and we’re wishing her a wonderful first day at Mizzou! 🐯🫶

Recently, Ph.D. student Grace Miller attended the American Society of Plant Biologists meeting in Milwaukee, WI. She presented a poster on her lunar regolith stimulant project and networked with biologists from across the country. We are so proud of you, Grace! 🌱🔬

As Summer 2025 comes to a close we’d like to highlight our undergraduate research assistant, Mason! Mason spent the semester primarily assisting Ph.D. student Abby with her blueberry research. We’re proud of you for graduating, Mason! Good luck in the future!

Science is under threat in the US, but our lab is fighting back! Today, Grace Sidberry and Grace Miller joined Drs. Miranda Haus and Emily Josephs at the Meridian Farmers Market to empower Ingham County to speak up for science!

Wednesday night fun! Tonight our lab enjoyed Lansing Lugnuts baseball and corgi races! ⚾️🐶
