🚨 US-Saudi businessman Amr Zedan is now at an advanced stage in buying PNE. Zedan has been in discussions with North End supremo lan Penrose and was a VIP guest at their draw with QPR. PNE is now available at around £12-15 million as the owners look to move out. The bigger money any buyer needs is to fund it in the Championship. Zedan would have to go through an EFL test to show he has cash to take on both the buy and the running of the famous old club. The businessman has been trying for PNE for months and is working with a local partner in a bid to convince the Hemmings family that he is a suitable successor. Preston were robbed of past bidders because of worries about whether they were 'fit and proper'. Zedan also finally met club adviser Peter Ridsdale who has not been central to the process.
