@martindelp @Eyesandvibes For the most part yes, though over the last 5 or so years it’s been much more competitive. MLS middle and bottom tier teams are much better than Liga MX, but the top Liga MX teams are still a clear step above the top MLS teams.

Why does every MLS team that goes down to Mexico just completely fall over? Is it a mentality issue? Is it the way the game is officiated? Is it the unfamiliarity? I can’t explain the level of consistent road grating that occurs from MLS’ best teams anytime go south…

@Eyesandvibes MLS teams have been consistently winning against Liga MX teams on US soil for awhile now?? Literally this year MLS teams are 3-1-1 against Liga MX teams at home outscoring them 13-2 in those games

@ZeroCool138 With them having a fighting (hypothetically, truthfully I don’t believe they do) chance in the second leg, no, but after they lose against Austin and then get knocked out of Champions Cup I could see it happening

Chris Tucker ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
@RyanCalWave I don't think he survives the year, but I can't imagine they'll walk him after this tie. But that's more down to not having a ton of faith in the organization

@ZeroCool138 I am looking at this as Vanney is already out soon and for the rest of the year. When half of the spine of your team is USL Championship level, I don’t think there is a coach who can do much with this team.

@ZeroCool138 I’m in agreement with you about Vanney, but I don’t think a new coach fixes this at all. This team has been very poorly constructed being so dependent on one player who hasn’t been available for now two years. I just can’t get past how poor the central midfield is

@GalaxyPodcast The spine is the most important part of your team. The midfield in the spine is so bad, not just in this game but all season. So frustrating to watch

Toluca with a great counter and they split the Galaxy defense open. Garces gets beat on the cross and a great squared ball to finish past Yoshida. Galaxy in trouble. Not surprising. #LAGalaxy

@Cinimod6 @mountain_life40 @rguns51 @MattLeinartQB @FightOnRusty “It’s a jersey number” you just contradicted yourself. You’re right it’s just a # to new players. To the history of USC, it’s a historic jersey number this really isn’t that complicated. If a HS player is that entitled that a jersey # makes his decision then that’s on the player.

Coach Riley hasn’t asked me if a recruit can wear my number so we can settle that right now. I’ve been asked in the past before and have said the same thing every time. This isn’t a big deal! Fight On ✌️

#USC has released a statement regarding the men's basketball team. Los Angeles--Chad Baker-Mazara is no longer a member of the USC Men’s Basketball program, the team announced Sunday. Baker-Mazara, a graduate student, appeared in 26 contests for the Trojans in 2025-26. USC has two regular-season games remaining, traveling to Washington on March 4 and hosting UCLA on March 7 before the start of the Big Ten Tournament next week.

@TomFornelli It was, and I don’t mean this as hyperbole, the worst minute a team could ever play. Literally the only thing they could have done more to try to lose, was to score on their own basket.

USC follows up a billion point home loss to Illinois with a 1-point home loss to a horrible Oregon team that outscored the Trojans 7-0 in the final minute.

@BudElliott3 you railed against G5 teams being included in large part because of schedule (and of course safety issues), I expect the same sort of rhetoric for ND this coming season.

@BudElliott3 Wouldn’t it be the opposite?? (Admittedly I don’t know all the details of the contracts and what he gained from it), but it seems like the player just benefited from this? Also confused how you can sign a contract and not follow through on the terms.

@BudElliott3 In the NFL you will have that QB, ideally for a decade. College you are lucky for 2 yrs. A coach on the other hand, not only can be at your school for 20 some years but is also the one that helps attract those big name QBs. Plus in CFB, I think it’s smarter to spread reasources

20 QBs in the NFL make more than the highest paid coach. The top 3 QBs in college football don't COMBINE to make what the top coach makes. Paying a coach more than the starting QB? It will take time, but that doesn't make sense and will flip.

Is it just me or are a lot of teams from that one conference losing to teams they would’ve beaten hypothetically ??? I could’ve sworrrrrnnnnn were told every year how all of these teams would win in any other conference … Surely it’s because “they don’t care” about these games and opt outs, but we were told their 2s are stars in any other conference as well 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 oh boy, I grew dizzy and fell over in the kitchen trying to make it make sense lol been a rough bowl season so far! Wondering when it begins to mean more 👀

What if we require payment for the team acquiring the transfer? Teams losing the player they develop would be compensated, but also teams looking to get transfers wouldn’t just take 40 transfers a season knowing it would cost them money.
Clay Travis@ClayTravis

John Calipari is right on this — allow one player transfer, after that, you have to sit out a year to transfer. We have guys playing for four different teams in four years. It’s beyond ridiculous and bad for the sport:

The one question I’ve yet to get an answer to is why ND is CHOOSING to not play USC in September… This made up logic that an independent school cannot rearrange their schedule to accommodate the school who is in one and has a potential CC game, to continue a historic rivalry due to “prior engagements” is bullshit. All the while claiming a team is running from you while not being able to explain why you can’t play USC in September is next level mental gymnastics. I want both schools to figure this out because this rivalry matters to college football. But being purposely dense out of pure fandom is childish. Can’t complain someone is running from a fight when you’ve actively denied all pathways to continue said fight. Again you can’t say I’m scared of a fight when you are finding every reason why you can’t make it to the fight unless it’s only on your terms 😂😂😂

LSU and Mizzou were “ranked” all year to prop up other SEC resumes with fictional “ranked wins” Now that they finished 7-6 and 8-5 and lost to Big 12 and ACC teams in their bowl games, suddenly they’re “terrible teams” who “don’t represent the SEC.” Just incredible
