In Salt Lake County, we believe all are welcome and we come from a history of people who found this place to be a place of belonging. We believe in human dignity and do not need ICE or any detention center in our county

There has been a water line break for residents near 700 W using Jordan Valley water. Water should be restored in a couple of hours

Childcare is an essential county service for families & that’s why I voted ‘NO’ to closing the centers. Our budget grows due to growing arrests and high recidivism rates, closing down centers that have been proven to decrease youth violence & incarceration is not smart accounting

Political violence is never the answer. Our nation is great because we have different backgrounds, thoughts, and experiences. My thoughts and prayers are with the Charlie Kirk family and any others injured today.

I’m so proud to be the first county in the state to champion women and girls. When we make sure women and girls thrive, everyone does. August is officially a Bolder Way Forward Month!

I’m sad to see the departure of Sundance, a space that brought diverse voices in film and meant so much to our community. I understand the organizers’ desire for a more welcoming space. That’s why I voted no on rescinding funding—to honor their impact & our shared values.
