As contagious as it is to watch Belushi, you just can't take your eyes off of Aykroyd. The sheer amount of talent on that small stage is staggering. The Blues Brothers performing 'Soul Man' live on SNL, in 1978. 48 years apart yet it is still incredibly impressive.

Marcus Freeman shares why "leading by example" isn't enough. "We don't love leaders by example. Because leaders by example are guys that do what they're told to do, they do everything they're asked, right?" "But they don't say things when their teammates aren't reaching the standard. We can't have that." Real leadership isn't just performing at the standard. It's protecting the standard. "We need more leaders. Guys that are willing to hold their teammates accountable because it's gonna make your teammate better." Accountability isn't about being hard on people. It's about caring enough to not let them settle. "I wanna make everybody in our organization the best they possibly can be. So if I let you cut corners or I don't say something to you when you're falling under the standard, then I'm not helping push you to the best you can be." Leading by example is the baseline. Leading with accountability is the standard. (🎥notredamebusiness )

@SportPsychTips Tony Dungy said, "If you only coach that person on the field and you only make them a better player, you've really missed a great opportunity." Great coaches coach character. They focus on developing people. Because character outlasts talent, stats, and wins.

Rick Pitino said, "You're not allowed to give excuses because excuses are a sign of weakness. We give no excuses when we fail." "Failure is just fertilizer to help us grow as a team." Excuses are just noise. You either make progress or make excuses. But you can't do both.

When Jesus gave thanks, miracles followed. Whether breaking bread with His disciples, feeding five thousand with five loaves and two fish, or standing before Lazarus’ tomb, Jesus began each moment with gratitude. Even as the shadow of the cross loomed over Him, He gave thanks - teaching us that thanksgiving isn’t a reaction to blessing; it’s the seed that produces it. In every circumstance, giving thanks releases God’s power to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. In a world filled with uncertainty, the spirit of thanksgiving is our weapon against fear and despair. Like King David declared, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” When we choose gratitude, even in times of personal storms or national crisis, we invite God’s presence into our lives. Give thanks today - not because everything is perfect, but because God is still on the throne.

@SportPsychTips Discipline over motivation. Nick Saban said, "Doing what you're supposed to do, when you're supposed to do it, the way it's supposed to get done." • It means choosing commitment over comfort. • It means consistency in your habits. • It means being mentally tough.
