Think this slide was fully resurfaced? It wasn’t. This before and after is from a professional polish, not a full recoat. When the original coating is structurally sound, polishing can restore gloss, reduce drag, improve water flow, and extend service life at a fraction of the cost. But if scale and oxidation are so severe that sanding is required first, maintenance has already fallen behind. Sanding removes buildup. It also removes coating thickness.
