The Fundraisers have been incredibly busy of late. There was the disco a few days back and a wonderful fete last Friday. Thanks as ever for the wonderful support during the year.

Year 6 stormed it with their performances over the last couple of days. It was such good fun and we know all had a great time. A big day tomorrow…

The 100 Year ago day was so much fun. Thanks to all for the wonderful costumes. The children seemed to have a great day, trying all sorts of activities, from tiddlywinks to marbles to chalk board sums. A big display in the hall will soon capture the whole day in all its glory.

The library is gearing up for our ‘100 Years Ago’ day next week. It really was a rich period for children’s literature…

Yr 3 have been using cyanotype paper. UV light has then been used to help create these photographic prints by Anna Atkins.

The first Scarning ‘Poetry Slam’ took place today. Staff and children alike sharing their own poetry, as well as old favourites. It was such good fun.

Sports day was fabulous - thanks to everyone who made it possible. I hope you all enjoyed it - we know the staff and children did.

The Year 6 travellers have arrived at their hostel. A good day so far. Hopefully the weather holds for them all.

Our Spring interview guests were Mrs Johnson and DG from Year 6. Mrs Johnson has recently returned from some time spent in Chinese schools. Dora has visited China many times. Between them they answered questions from the children about China and it’s education system.

Well done to Year 6 who undertook SATS week with a huge amount of determination and good humour. They did themselves proud.

Year 1 have worked incredibly hard on their treasure chest designs. Today has seen lots of progress.

Thanks to all who attended the VE Day singalong yesterday. Great to hear the children in such fine voice.
