Automating Trader Workflows - Example #3 Another interesting project I've been working on is a trading 'coach'. Creating one discord channel where the input are my executions and justifications for putting them on, whilst the other channel is reserved for my AI 'coach' to bash me when I do something that wildly deviates from my plan. I would caveat that the market is dynamic and things can change on a dime - which is why it is also important to have the mental flexibility when trading in real time. Case in Point: I took a painful gap down loss in the metals trade to start March. The first reaction was to honor my stops and let it go - knowing that digging myself out of a hole by overtrading is NOT the way to go. 34-mins after the stop outs, I attempted to short the market, which is not what I was supposed to do. The next day, my 'coach' bashed me in the post-trade review, asking me to be aware of revenge trading. I thought that was VERY INTERESTING. Read the diagnosis, you can see that I am not a perfect trader and make a lot of mistakes. But the past few years have taught me that self-awareness is a crucial step before enforcing the discipline to stop hole digging. This daily reinforcement mechanism will hopefully allow me to be even more effective as a trader going forward in course correcting faster. @peoplewish I noticed that LOD stops are particularly vulnerable when the breakout occurs on the first 5 min 930 candle

Using pLOD instead of a traditional LOD stop, paired with slightly smaller size to balance the added risk, has been a breakthrough for my account these past few months. The thesis was simple: everything’s been going up. Instead of trying to nail perfect entries with tight LOD stops, I realized it’s better for my account to just get in and ride the trend, giving positions more room to breathe and avoiding getting chopped out. It’s all based on the notion of letting time pay rather than size, coupled with the idea that the trend is your friend. Continual improvement 🙏
