It’s not Monday morning quarterbacking to say the Braves should’ve added a starting pitcher this winter; they themselves said it was a priority entering the offseason. But they didn’t do it, and now a worst-case scenario is unfolding before spring-training games even begin. Ouch.

The Braves needed to add a starting pitcher when it was known they'd be counting on two SPs (Holmes and Lopez) with injury concerns. Now that they know they'll spend time without both Waldrep and Schwellenbach, that need has become a dire necessity.
