AWKA, ANAMBRA: A violent incident was reported in Kegite’s Club, Anambra State, where a peaceful event (World Gyration) organized by “Supreme Anambra Hemisphere” was disrupted. Kegite members in the “Supreme Anambra Hemisphere” have accused another Anambra Kegite faction, “Comradic Anambra Hemisphere,” for carrying out the attack, claiming they hired thvgs and some local security operatives to disrupt the event, which they said still continued. Naija Confra spoke about this Anambra division last year, stating that cultists and thvgs who thrive on violence are present in Kegite, and some of them use violence to achieve their goals. Their online members continue to deny it, protecting a name instead of facing reality in order to solve the problem. Today, that reality is unfolding before our eyes. It is important to note that there is no unity in Kegite’s Club at the top, as the club is already divided into 3 factions at the national level (Supreme Kegites Club International, Kegites Club International, and Kegites Club of Nigeria). The Kegite members fighting in Anambra State are not even part of any of the 3 national factions. They are on their own, yet still fighting among themselves, creating further division in an already divided group. Just last year, the Anambra State Government, through the SSA to the Governor on Security and Anti-Cultism, restricted the activities of Kegite’s Club in Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu, due to cultism-related concerns. Naija Confra maintains that the Kegite’s Club of today has been heavily polluted and corrupted, with many cultists now within the club, and we do not advise anyone to join the club for now until it is properly reformed.
