@sandileswana Cape Independence, is more likely, and more desirable, before this bullshit idea happens.

We must sponsor the idea of a United Cape- just like we were before. Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, and Eastern Cape must form one Cape province.: The proposal to merge the Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, and Western Cape seeks to reunify the historic Cape Province (or Cape of Good Hope province), which was the largest administrative division of South Africa from 1910 until 1994. Historical Foundations The Former Cape Province: For nearly a century, these regions existed as a single political entity. The division into three provinces in 1994 was a result of the democratic transition aimed at decentralising power and addressing the administrative anomalies of the former apartheid homelands, such as Transkei and Ciskei, which were reincorporated into the Eastern Cape. Colonial Roots: The historical identity of "The Cape" stems from the original Cape Colony established by the Dutch in 1652 and later expanded under British rule. Proponents argue that the current borders are artificial splits of a territory that shared a century of legal and political evolution. South African History Online South African History Online +3 Cultural Continuity Shared Heritage: The three provinces share deep-rooted historical links to the Khoisan (San and Khoikhoi) peoples, whose ancestral lands spanned the entire Cape region. Linguistic Ties: Afrikaans and isiXhosa are dominant languages across the regions. The Eastern Cape is the traditional heartland of the amaXhosa, but Xhosa culture and language have significantly influenced and spread into the Western Cape. Demographic Overlap: The Cape Coloured community has a strong presence across all three provinces, sharing unique cultural traditions such as Cape Malay cuisine and historical ties to the Northern Cape's Griqua heritage. Wikipedia Wikipedia +6 Economic Arguments Resource Complementarity: A unified Cape would combine the Western Cape's robust service, technology, and tourism sectors with the Northern Cape's vast mineral wealth (manganese, diamonds, iron ore) and the Eastern Cape's industrial potential and agricultural "food basket" status. Logistical Efficiency: Merging could streamline the management of major infrastructure, such as the Orange River irrigation schemes and the rail corridors that link Northern Cape mines to Western and Eastern Cape ports. Fiscal Redistribution: Some political leaders have argued that a merger could better manage poverty, unemployment, and inequality by allowing revenue from more prosperous areas to follow the migration of poor citizens seeking work in the Western Cape. Current Political Context While there are historical and economic arguments for reunification, the idea is often politically contentious: Political Dominance: Some proposals for a merger have been viewed as attempts to shift the political balance, as combining the DA-led Western Cape with the ANC-led Eastern Cape would likely change the majority ruling party in the region. Autonomy vs. Secession: Conversely, some "Cape Independence" movements advocate for an independent state that includes parts of all three provinces to escape national governance.

@Afri_core For a people who chose racialist revenge, over genuine economic transformation and development... of course there is gonna be economic disparity, the question is, why can't black South Africans, recognize that it is them that is to blame.

Elon Musk will be a perpetual nightmare here in RSA. He is above the state president , above our laws, above the Constitution and above us. He has no time for any Constitutional democracy. All of our laws comply with the Constitution and Rlon Mustk must respect the decisions of the Constitutional Court. As of April 2026, Elon Musk has intensified calls for the United States to impose severe sanctions on South Africa, primarily targeting the country's Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) policies and political leadership. The friction between Musk and the South African government centers on several key issues: Starlink Licensing Dispute: Musk alleges that South Africa is "openly racist" because Starlink has been denied an operating license for failing to meet the 30% local ownership requirement for historically disadvantaged groups. He claims he was even offered opportunities to "bribe" his way into a license, which he says he refused on principle. Political Clashes: Musk has called for international sanctions against Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema, whom he labeled a "genocidal maniac" following controversial remarks made by Malema. Influence in Washington: Following the return of Donald Trump to the White House in 2025, Musk—who served as a senior advisor—has been accused by critics, including the EFF, of using his influence to manipulate U.S. foreign policy against South Africa. Wider Economic Measures: Beyond Musk's specific calls, the U.S. administration has already imposed 30% reciprocal tariffs on South African goods as part of its "America First" strategy. There are also active legislative efforts, such as the US-South Africa Bilateral Relations Review Act, which could lead to targeted sanctions against ANC officials over the country's ties to Russia, China, and Iran. The South African government, led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, has dismissed Musk's claims as "lies," maintaining that over 600 U.S. companies successfully operate in the country by following existing transformation laws.

The South african government is obliged to accept business from Elon. He is not God.. imagine forging a relationship with a person pleading for your country to be sanctioned.

This is dangerous advice, if the DA contributes to creating a political culture that is deaf to the little-formalism that remains of the South African Constitution (bearing in mind, the current Constitutional Crisis in non-racialism), are we not opening the door to political stunts that might be carried by, say even: the MK party... Democracy is a feeble justifier, I am certainly weary of using it, which again, I will restate, I think serves as a dangerous precedent, considering our current abuse of the justification of democracy, for employing racially discriminatory legislation. Thus short circuiting a proper s36 limitations test for Constitutional invalidity, in which the lettered sub-clauses were all ignored, and left unchecked. Democracy without Constitutionalism, is hollow, and so we must acknowledge, we have already lost our liberal democracy, while we instead now have, a racialized democracy, and a bench that is worthless, with respect to any subject that is tainted of pertaining to the growing tendrils of black identity ethno-nationalist politics. My diagnosis: we don't have enough political-cultural commentary from the media, that performs functions of moral hygiene. We have become automatically absolved by a modernist knock-off of absolution, received by nominal participation in a sacred, mythologized democracy, that is the vehicle destined to be used by a racialized ideological-consciousness. There is no black elite touting the merits of a liberal meritocracy: instead there is only nominal-buy-in to DEI/BEE token-justice representation... the sociological analogy of the mark of the beast, the incarnated symbol of social justice: the token receiving reparation 'from the system', token for their entire racial classification. This is a pseudo-religious message of genus-belonging: its essentially just, pure racialism. Therefore, our only hope is, external and outside moral pressure, to fill in for the lack of internal critique, that we get from RSA's mediocre cast of mainstreamed intelligencia. There isn't a single one of them, that breaks the party line of not being hostile to non-racialism.

Here's the problem: you won't "get" the power. Drop the "if" - it's not going to happen. Make peace. Put a bow on it. Now: what are you going to do? This is where we are, and we need to reckon with reality. Equip the metro police with detectives. Investigate crimes. Set up fully staffed watching brief units and private prosecution units. Establish liaisons with well-meaning vigilante groups (yes) and bring order and education to chaos and ignorance. Work with SAPS and the NPA only to the degree that they reciprocate. Not one single constituent voted for explanations about jurisdictions and narrow readings of constitutional domains. They voted for solutions to problems.

I think there should be some social stigma that applies to black South African citizens: the disruption of meritocracy is done in the name of the black identity, and is essentially voted for, by a vast majority of the black electorate. This makes black South Africans, overwhelmingly on average, supporters of hypocrisy on the issue of the purpose of ending Apartheid (namely, the principle of non-racialism), it also means a generalization of black South African's are clear betrayers of the Constitution. Where is the acknowledgment of black agency, responsibility or accountability? Is it wrong to care about who the black electorate casts their vote for? I am disturbed by the lack of moral hygiene I see from the black intellectual elite: it's mostly just imposter professionals, who are locked into supporting an ideological privilege of racial preferential treatments, as that is how they managed to garner their own ill-gotten positions. This is the poison that is unleashed on culture when non-racialism and meritocracy is dissolved. Never ending cultural racialist Marxist-Lenninist propaganda, gaslighting and narratives of fascist lies cast all over social media, constantly. In conclusion, I think the only accountability that can come to RSA, is one that is brought unto us by vigilant international witnesses. If black accountability won't come from within, it should come from without: in this mode, I am forever grateful to President Trump, for underlying the fight against non-racialist hypocrisy at its height, The South African state, even as our domestic media is so contained by the corrupt political elite capture, it can't even get its head around our local unconstitutional legislation, and subsequent Constitutional Crisis, which also has the effect of invalidating South Africa's sovereignty: making things like self-determination for the Cape, a lightning bolt away from declaration. We live in a sick society, shame on those who supported the Neo-Apartheid regime. I pray for a speedy recovery of the Constitutional order, but I won't hold my breath, until we get some responsibility back into our politics, and drop the silly convenient delusions held by, predominantly black South Africans.

Starlink not being allowed to operate in South Africa just because Elon Musk is not Black is one of the most shameful things I’ve ever witnessed. Elon was born in South Africa, and has done so much good for humanity that everyone there should appreciate him. Additionally, Starlink would increase South Africa’s GDP, because fast, reliable internet access is essential for people to take part in the global economy and offer goods and services.

You fail to understand that you are relying on racialism, collective punishment, and hypocrisy. You also fail to understand, that leveling the playing field, with regards to social engineering race equity: means you no longer live in a meritocracy, so therefore, the society is doomed to collapse in dysfunction. Because you chose immoral racialist policy, you end up with devastation, poverty and only ashes. Only you have too much envy and too much pride to realize, this is all you really deserve, by your lack of moral integrity to keep non-racialism, and not break the Constitution.
