@cecild84 For Ukraine it doesn't really matter if they can't produce anything domestically, they'll just import it from Romania or Poland. So bad but the end result is the same Ukraine has fuel.

Ukraine played with fire when they attacked Russian refinery, and now their biggest gas facility in Poltava burns. Lesson for Ukraine: Don't throw stones if you live in glass houses.

@HMBohemond Tbh no ages are really over, they adapt and change with the environment, drones mainly owa uav's have been a massive problem for the us to deal with causing losses far in excess of what would have been possible. The us will adapt, in blood, where it shouldn't have been needed

Marshal Bohemond ⚔️⛨ | Space Marine Vtuber
The last 111 years of war has been a ping pong match of air, armor, and infantry aficionados saying the other is "over" and it hasn't happened for any of them and never will. War is and always will be a game of combined arms. Ukraine is just a petri dish of what happens when drones hit the field and neither army is evolved enough to counter them. We've seen in Iran how little drones matter against equipped, experienced armies.

4/4 🧵 Iran most likely has not been given 100s of cm-302s and even if they have us carriers are most likely not operating within there ranges, I have an earlier comment showing the range.

3/🧵 The us csg is one of the most heavily defended places on the planet, it requires a massive amount of material to penetrate and hit a carrier or it's escorts, even so most of the attacking weapons will be shot down.

1/🧵 You know you could have just asked for a better explanation right? Also he blocked me so url repost x.com/HaroldWren22/s… The cm-302 is a export yj-12 which is most likely a development of the kh-31 the us Navy should be uniquely good at hitting threats similar to these

@OregonLurker1 @ThomBrady5 Yes but is not imported from the region in which it is happening so is unaffected by the current conflict and as such it's import is unaffected

Europe fumbled the ball pretty hard on the Iran War. Europe could've sent 10,000 infantry per country and 10 ships per country and held the troops in reserve off the coast of Africa, with zero risk of actual combat. Now they revealed NATO is pure downside for American citizens.
Fugitive Caesar@ThomBrady5

Every time Europe wants to do something stupid, they duck accountability by claiming they're an American vassal state so they have no alternative. But every time Trump tells Europe to stop killing itself, suddenly Europeans are very insistent on their sovereign autonomy.

@lolcatjunior1 @ug_chelsea That's not how starlink works. You can jam starlink, it also relies heavily on amount of satellites in orbit which Russia has very few of, so while they can do something similar it probably won't be to the same effect

@SolarC356 @ug_chelsea Russia just recently launched their own version of Starlink whihc bypasses electronic warfare like fiber optic cables. All the strikes on Russian air systems like Buk & S-300/400s are done by Ukrainian drones with starlink terminals attached. Now Russians will do the same.

@OregonLurker1 @ThomBrady5 Lng isn't oil though... Here's better numbers in france counting fossil fuels in France is, 8%~ (10%~from middle east) so .8%~, in Germany its 10% with 91% of that not being imported from the middle east, so 1%~ if all of the rest is imported from them.

@SolarC356 @ThomBrady5 You want to be a grammar nazi; assume I put LNG next to the word oil… 10-15% of anyone’s entire supply of energy is massive. You clearly never worked in infrastructure before.

The Chinese anti-ship missile they declared was their ‘carrier killer’ has a 100% failure rate in combat against a US Navy Carrier Battle Group. In two separate wars— the Houthis fired several of them at the USS Harry Truman, with a 100% failure rate. The Iranians fired over one hundred of them at the USS Abraham Lincoln, with a 100% failure rate.
Harold__Finch@HaroldWren22

No, we did not shoot down all 101. Many self destructed en route because they were defective; chinese quality control is non existent. Many more were completely defeated by jamming & electronic warfare & could successfully identify a target. The remainder were successfully engaged by the Lincoln’s escorts. The Chinese CM-302 alleged ‘mach III capable’ anti ship missiles had a 100% failure rate. Yes, a 100% failure rate.

@Fleetwoodzac76 @HaroldWren22 Tbh, the majority of the time it is actually poor usage from the receiving nation, those same systems have proven very deadly in Ukraine, when a motivated prepared force operates them.

@SolarC356 @HaroldWren22 Every single time a Soviet/Russian/Chinese weapon system fails to live up to expectations its blamed on it being the export variant. This goes back to the Six Day War and reached absurd levels with tanks during Desert Storm, even though they're performing the same in UKR war

@Karmabash No he a bitch who wouldn't attack NATO if he had to. A war with NATO even if the us doesn't join is far to costly for him and his elites, they would over throw him if he gave that order.

The massive and damaging attacks on oil terminals in Leningrad oblast of Russia were carried out from Latvia. The destruction may lead to oil export reduction by nearly 40%. PS: Would Putin acknowledge & take action? Or is he still a gentleman who promised not to attack the EU?

@HanShawnity ...help didn't come. The riots and protests were brutally repressed and policed and then a few weeks after everyone had gone home or been arrested the us started bombing. Control had been attained over the riots by the time the us started.

I'm trying to understand something about the Iranian people. Just a few months ago you were slaughtered by the thousands for protesting and demanding your freedom. You begged for help. Help came. The US and Israel have been bombing Iranian regime targets mercilessly for weeks now. Why aren't you rising up? You won't get this opportunity again. It's now or never. I'm not here to judge. I understand the regime consists of savages who wouldn't hesitate to murder thousands more. But they're killing you anyway, and if you really want your freedom like you say you do, now's the time. Your future is up to you. You can't expect other people to do it for you.

@latimeralder Weren't there a ton of lawsuits in the us because fracking contaminated drinking water wells? The UK banned fracking due to not really being able to model where and how much seismic activity fracking creates, which does happen in the us we just don't care as much.

Fracking: In UK fracking is almost unknown. But some people are frightened of it In USA its been done 1,500,000 times. And nobody much cares. Its 'business as usual'. Who is right? Fearty Brits or cool Yanks?

@OregonLurker1 @ThomBrady5 It's a long response but the tldr is Basically Europe doesn't import that much oil from the Middle East, more so lng which makes up a limited part of the energy supply iirc like 10-15% for germany/France so important but not crucial, and can be offloaded to other systems.

@ColbyBadhwar Where did you find yearly capacity of 600 a year? The us bought like 60 in 2026, iirc the numbers for 27 was 100+~? The contract for over 1000 probably won't see the first missile off the line for 2~ years minimum

🇺🇸 ~4000 Tomahawks were in inventory, so this would be 21% of that. Not a trivial amount, but not an insurmountable replacement requirement. Tomahawk production capacity is 600/year, increasing to 1000/year. The Navy needs to place the orders. Their procurement has been anemic.
Colby Badhwar tweet media

SCOOP: The U.S. military has fired more than 850 Tomahawk cruise missiles in four weeks of war with Iran, burning through the precision weapons at a rate that has alarmed some Pentagon officials and prompted internal discussions about how to make more available.

Let me put this very simply. The UK does not have a system to defend its cities from ballistic missile attack. We rely on the United States under a NATO framework. That is the reality.
