I use Spatial Chat when I teach classes, and I've found it ideal for that. Being able to easily move between breakout rooms is, for me, a killer feature. I've also found it very useful when I'm working with multiple teams as a shared architect. Gather allows for similar movement, though I don't much like the "cute" UI.
