@alli_ya7 For some, their Sickle Cell symptoms are milder and easily managed than others. There are some some Sickle Cell patients that once you see them, you would know they have it, while for others it may not be too noticeable. I know someone, you won’t even guess she is a sickler

I have a sensitive question to ask from a place of love. How are you a sickle cell survivor but don’t look like you’ve been through it at all? The sickle cell patients I’ve seen are always in and out of the hospital and avoid heavy workouts. They eat healthy, yet you can still tell something is wrong. How do you balance everything ?

I was talking with this fine doctor for months . He traveled to Canada with PR visa and was doing fine . One day he asked me “ I’m a spec . Fine and rich . I can bring you over to Canada, you can work if you choose to or not, but aside from your pretty self what else can you offer in the relationship?” I stared at my ceiling hours after that call and bitterly admitted that he was right. I had just gotten my certificate, I was out of a job and my finances were a mess. What could I possibly offer in a relationship at that point?

@esther_stan It could be that your partner provides great assistance and makes everything easier for you. And financially, this person is clueless but when pointed to the right directions they can perform. So, what answers were he expecting? “I can balance your finances, have your kids?”
