If the law says a man who committed crimes like this can’t be deported and has to be released, then change the law. No remorse. Victims scarred for life. Public confidence shattered. Community cohesion damaged. If he can’t be removed from this country, he should spend the rest of his life behind bars. What’s the alternative?

🚨 BREAKING: Ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang, Shabir Ahmed, has been released from prison today. The Pakistani migrant was jailed for 22 years in August 2012 after being found guilty of 30 child rape charges involving girls as young as 12, but released this morning after serving less than 14. Ahmed was one of the nine men from Rochdale and Oldham who were found guilty of exploiting girls at two takeaway restaurants in the Heywood area of Rochdale. Due to the Immigration Act 1971, he will not be deported back to Pakistan.
