Hey everyone! This is @StJosephScanner. We were locked out of our old account and had to make a new account. I’ve begun posting for Elkhart County as well so you’ll find not only St. Joseph but Elkhart County Scanner calls as well on here. Happy to be back!

The chance for strong storms continues over the next couple of hours, but expect a waning trend after that. Storms continue to have the potential to produce gusty to damaging winds, hail, lightning and heavy rain. An eastward trend of storms is expected overnight.

12:36 PM: A nurse is on scene doing CPR. A male is possibly 10-0. 12:38 PM: PD requesting traffic control.

Update: SBPD confirmed this was a fatal accident. The driver suffered a medical emergency before going off the road and striking a pole. One person was pronounced deceased and another was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Applewood Rd & Portage Rd (South Bend) Animal Complaint Caller advised 2 horses are heading down Portage Rd. The horses are a white/gray color as well as copper. #SouthBend

Update: 2 New Prairie HS busses were stuck.

BAD ACCIDENT - LaPorte, IN US 20 & N. Fail Rd (LaPorte) MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION - HELICOPTERS EN ROUTE White Box Truck vs. Bus Dispatch is reported the accident has injuries. 2 helicopters have been requested. 2 juveniles are unconscious. #LaPorte #LaPorteCounty

3:24 PM (CST): Landing zone is near the Toll Road Bridge. There is an open field there. 3:23 PM (CST): Units advised the road will be closed for a while. State Highway has been contacted to assist. ISP is also en route.

3:20 PM (CST): A bus is rolled over. They didn’t advise what kind of bus. They advised the bus has baseball players on it. 44 year old male is having rib pain. 3:23 PM (CST): They are getting a landing zone set up.

3:17 PM (CST): Westbound and eastbound traffic are being blocked off. 3:19 PM (CST): 1 juvenile is unconscious. PD advised it was the reckless driver that another unit was en route to.
