The comments from young people here are not an exception but the norm. The one constant theme in all our one on one conversations with young people is - I have given up. A sentiment that becomes more profound politically based on how poor someone may be. If I were politicians I would be worried about those who are attending TAFE and not Universities. They live in a lot more politically volatile and marginal seats. They do not have the wealth or time to participate in activities that we see on university campuses at the moment.
