@BoltsBreakdown That being said with 14 games left you would like him to give him a little bit more playing time to get Vasy a rest before the playoffs. But in a tight playoff race you are also risking losing valuable point you could need. Overall disappointing season for him for sure.

@BoltsBreakdown 10-9-1 as a back up isn’t where it is at for sure. His last 3 starts he has allowed 19 goals. Including 8 in one game.2 of those stats are post Olympic break he gave up 13 goals. Not sure why he has been so inconsistent and that is 6 points we could have used.

Rapid Reaction || 3-4 OT Loss (CGY): In the first 10 minutes of this game, I thought the Lightning were going to steamroll Calgary. To me, it was clear we were faster, harder on the forecheck, & more skilled in transition. It worried me, JoJo being in net, but I felt confident seeing the Bolts taking care of the puck. Then, all of a sudden, after McDonagh’s goal, everything fell apart. We became the sloppy, inconsistent team that doesn’t forecheck. The blind, lazy passes returned with a side of terrible positioning. It’s frustrating, for sure…but, I do understand the Bolts played an intense game less than 24 hours ago & are at the tail end of a 9-day Western Conference roadtrip. It still would’ve been nice to see more effort. That being said, I thought Goncalves had another good game & I loved the Hounds line. JoJo made some miraculous saves to save our OT point, which could be absolutely crucial at the end of the season. Like Cooper said in postgame, we were down 3-1 halfway through this game & battled back to rescue a point. As much as the Bolts left to be desired, they mustered a valiant effort in the closing minutes to not walk away empty handed. Until Tuesday, Bolts Nation!
