Getting broken b2b in S1 especially one in there at 30-0 made this difficult very fast, Sinner was himself as always but was there for the taking imo ( not looking 100% physically at times ) for Sascha on his top form to many mistakes sadly and he wasn’t able to clutch up on the BPs…

Indian Wells as you all know by now has been way faster then previous years especially with the high temps during the day and this has been evident in the serving stats of the German of the 4 matches and 9 sets he has played here in IW he has only been broken once (!) granted vs opponents way below Sinner’s level return wise but still impressive nonetheless. The serve has been impressive as always serving 76%, 76%, 70%, 71% 1sts in across his 4 matches with today again temps expected of about 35 degrees Celsius and their match planned in the middle of the day I fancy the Germans chances to keep this encounter extremely competitive.
