My dad in World War 2 said that they'd sometimes capture a German foxhole, and were always really impressed. The American foxholes were pretty much just holes. A big one might have a grenade pit. But the German foxholes were immaculate. They had little shelves (sometimes with a plank) to put stuff on, a cut-out to sit on. He said they were really impressive, and they always wanted to stay longer in a German foxhole but hardly ever could.

It gets worse. This weekend after seeing the video, a veteran criminal defense lawyer (with no cases in this guy’s civil court) wrote this judge an email telling the judge he needed to apologize. The judge responded by accusing the lawyer of making an ex parte communication and ordered him to appear next week under threat of contempt. I’m a member of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association “Strike Force,” a group of several lawyers tasked with defending lawyers against judicial overreach at a moment’s notice. We’ll be there to make sure this judge does not try to jail a veteran lawyer just for exercising his First Amendment rights in criticizing an elected judge’s behavior.
Don Keith@RealDonKeith

Watch this pompous, arrogant judge with his elitist attitude berate an IT worker who was trying to help him. Harris County, Texas Judge Nathan J. Million of the 215th Civil Court is facing criticism online after this video circulating on social media shows what a pr*ck he is.

On 3 September a passenger aircraft took off from Kariba airport in Rhodesia before being struck by a missile. The plane crash landed in a field, those at the front of the plane were immediately incinerated as those more towards the middle were set alight in their seats, unable to escape. Only very few managed to escape out of a hole in the back. This was just the start. At the crash site those that were still in one piece tried to hunt for essential supplies nearby. As they did so a group of terrorists appeared and approached the elderly, the injured and the children. They killed every single one of them in cold blood. Only eight people were rescued the following morning. White Rhodesia, whipped up into a fit of rage, demanded nothing less than the most brutal revenge. All political resistance was bowled over. The Government had no choice but to act. Rhodesia's revenge would be her security forces' finest hour. 1,500 terrorists were wiped out in exchange for one death of their own. This is the story of Air Rhodesia Flight 825 and Operation Gatling, the revenge that followed. Link below

How many examples of Americans seeing their sons blown up by drones for Israel will this take?
Fanatic 🇺🇸@crusade_enjoyer

Americans are not ready to watch sons and daughters hunted by FPV drones. Some may not like this post, and that’s OK. Some may see this as being a “panican,” and that is also OK. My tolerance for American blood being spilled is very, very low. But this needs to be said: If you have paid any attention to the war in Ukraine, you will know how drone warfare has escalated. You will have an understanding of the sophistication of the Ukrainians and Russians in their pursuit of hunting and killing each other with human-guided robots strapped with explosives. We know Russia and Iran share military ties; hell, the most common form of long-range standoff munition used to target Ukrainian infrastructure is an Iranian-designed Shahed drone. Now, are the Iranians as sophisticated as the Russians? No. But will a ground action result in grainy videos of Americans being hit by FPV drones? Almost certainly. Could the deployment of ground forces to the Gulf be a feint? Sure, it could be, but this point extends beyond Iran. The U.S. needs to be ready to counter the drone menace. I won’t pretend to know the inner machinations of the Joint Chiefs, the White House, or President Trump, but with the destruction of an E-3 Sentry on the runway, it has become absolutely clear the U.S. armed forces have not scaled their ability to handle drones. I don’t know what the answer here is, but I haven’t seen this point brought up at the frequency it deserves. It needs to be said. We are not ready for footage of American soldiers and Marines cowering in their last moments, set to some upbeat pop song or some cleric screaming praises to Allah.

PATENT BREAKDOWN: US 12,038,247. INVENTOR: Brian A. Blakley. FILED: 2022. STATUS: Assigned to ABC IP, LLC. This was the first patent the Super Safety was accused of infringing, more on that later. This patent is another version of the cam based forced reset trigger described in US 7,398,723 that eliminates the shiftable trigger extender and instead uses the disconnector disabling system of US 11,724,003. Fig. 8C is a side view in standard semiautomatic mode, the trigger reset cam (green) only performs a “half reset” where the trigger (blue) is reset enough that its sear (56) catches the hammers sear catch (red, 52), but not enough for the disconnector (orange, 64) to release the hammers hook (53). The result is that the trigger is forced forward, but after the cam unlocks the trigger simply settles back into the pulled position with the disconnector still holding the hammer. The trigger must be manually reset in order to fire another shot. Fig. 6B shows a view where the selector switch (yellow) can be seen disabling the disconnector in the same way as ‘003. Fig. 9C is a side view in forced reset semiautomatic mode, the trigger reset cam once again is providing a half-reset, but this time the disconnector is disabled by the selector switch as can be seen by the disconnector being rotated counterclockwise away from the trigger. The result is that when the cam unlocks, the trigger can be pulled firing the weapon again. The disabled disconnector is unable to hold the hammer back. The key claim elements are: “… whereupon in a standard semi-automatic mode, said cam is in said first position, rearward movement of the bolt carrier causes rearward pivoting of said hammer such that said disconnector hook catches said hammer hook, and thereafter the bolt carrier moves forward into battery, at which time a user must manually release said trigger member to free said hammer from said disconnector to permit said hammer and trigger member to pivot to said set positions so that the user can pull said trigger member to fire the firearm…” And “… and whereupon in a forced reset semi-automatic mode, said cam is in said second position, rearward movement of the bolt carrier causes rearward pivoting of said hammer such that said disconnector hook is prevented from catching said hammer hook, and thereafter the bolt carrier moves forward into battery, at which time the user can pull said trigger member to fire the firearm.”

PATENT BREAKDOWN: US 12,031,784. INVENTOR: Lawrence Demonico. FILED: 2021. STATUS: Assigned to ABC IP, LLC. The Super Safety is being accused of infringing this patent, more on that later. This patent is a modified version of the locking bar used in 10,514,223 (the original FRT-15 patent). The modification is to prevent the locking bar from interfering with zero-sear-trip-clearance bolt carriers, such as the LR-308. On the AR-15, the sear trip sits about 0.060” below the forward hammer cam surface, allowing the sear or locking bar to interact with the trip yet not interfere with the forward surface. The LR-308 sear trip is at the same height as the forward surface, there is no way for a sear to interact with the trip without interfering with the forward surface. To resolve this, a separately folding portion is added to the locking bar that has a one-way hinge and is spring biased into the upper extended position. This can be seen in Fig. 6 where the carrier (purple) is pushing forward on the deflectable portion (light green) and in turn rotating and unlocking the body portion (dark green). The small “step” between the two shafts is the one way hinge that transfers torque from the upper to the lower portions when rotating clockwise. Fig. 7 shows the carrier moving rearward. The deflectable portion folds to the rear, the one way hinge not transferring any torque to the body portion. This allows the carrier to pass to the rear, the upper portion deflecting from its path to avoid interference while not moving the body portion. The spring (brown) returns the deflectable portion to the extended position so that the trip surface can contact and actuate it. The key claim elements are: “… a locking member that is movable between a first position in which it locks a trigger member against pulling movement and a second position where it does not restrict movement of the trigger member…” And “… the locking member having a body portion that is movably supported and an upwardly extending deflectable portion that is separately movable relative to the body portion between an extended position and a deflected position.”
