Books help children make sense of the world, provide an escape from it and maybe even inspire them to build a better world, so I hope we act to help this young generation, who have borne so much, connect to the joy of reading - an "invisible privilege" that lasts for a lifetime.

A difficult read, but this section below is what makes me want to redouble my efforts to encourage reading for pleasure. Reading does all this for me. And more.
