🚨 SOME THOUGHTS AFTER MY FIRST TIME PREACHING IN UTAH: 📈 400+ decisions for Christ in 5 days in Salt Lake City with Pastor Josh Waldoch. 📉 Utah is no longer Mormon. LDS is in decline domestically 🇺🇸 and will continue to decline. 🔹The Catholic Church in America was once very strong—unshakable & unassailable—until a 2002 expose irreparably weakened them. I feel something similar on the horizon for LDS in Utah. 1) Salt Lake City itself is no longer heavily LDS 📉 Less than 50% of residents in Salt Lake City are LDS. In the broader county, LDS share dropped from about 51% (2013) → ~47% (2020). Salt Lake City has shifted from being a Mormon-majority stronghold to a pluralistic, mixed city. ⸻ 2) Utah overall is trending downward 📉 LDS share of Utah’s population has been declining for years. Some estimates now put it closer to ~42% identifying LDS (depending on how you count). If it hasn’t already, I believe a great move of God will sweep through the most prominent universities and colleges in Utah 🔥 Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met!
