@sainsburys Been getting this on both app and browser last night and this morning when trying to checkout a click and collect. Tried multiple times! Is there an issue?

If a school says they’re research informed but ignore research that doesn’t fit into what they want and do the ‘opposite’ of what research suggests, can they claim to be a school that really uses research?

Good evening. 1. As recommended by Ofsted we are no longer grading lessons. 2. At the improving teaching CPD event on Thursday after school, teaching staff will be split into four groups - please see the lists in the staffroom to ensure that you attend the correct session.

First week done; stayed to 5pm once this week and that was the latest. That's the norm. Excited to talk about how we can make teaching a sustainable profession @researchED1 tomorrow

As INSET days up and down the country get underway, if you’re asked to undertake a new approach to teaching, demand (nicely!) to see the evidence that it is worth your time and effort.

The most successful teachers spend more than half the class time lecturing, demonstrating and asking questions. Questions allow the teacher to determine how well the material is learned. I guess you can do this in rows or in groups - maybe outside too! teachertoolkit.co.uk/2018/05/24/ess…

In short, if you want better behaviour, people need to be shown what to do, then directed to practise it. That practice then needs monitoring until it becomes habitual and even then it still needs light monitoring to maintain. For as long as you want the behaviour to happen.

Here's one of the things we've done to help with that pesky 'gap': made annotated copies of poems available to help with persistent absence, illness, teacher knowledge etc. May cause controversy but wish I'd done it sooner tbh #teamenglish @Team_English1 stgregseng.com/poetry
