The gap between the intercity train I changed to, and the station platform I got off at - was massive though.

Caught the metro to make up for leaving the house late this morning, was instead earlier to the destination station than usual

@Rubenerd I feel like "wrote" is too strong a word for these things. It really should be "I prompted" instead. Other people "wrote" it, you just prompted the average of what everyone else wrote.

@kirisviel The most popular Australian motorsport is the Supercars series, which during the 70s - 00s featured only Holden and Ford V8 cars. That sparked the rivalry between Ford and Holden fans. Even though both brands are gone now, it's kind of ingrained in the culture.

I was wondering yesterday during the motor performances why the MC would call out “Ford!” *scattered cheers* and then they would call out “Holden!” *stadium erupts with cheers* and it was as basic as Ford is American and Holden is Australian. I’m just stupid.

@kirisviel It's not so much in vogue nowadays, but I always liked the idea of stationery. Most people wouldn't spend like $20 on some nice pens, but writing with a nice pen is always a joy...if people still write with pens.

Can you actually find a meaningful present for $20…? Office gift budget is a bit meh….

I've been trying to post photos on Instagram again lately, but I'm constantly reminded of how frustrating it is that you can't post portrait and landscapes photos together. Also, the platform itself seems to just very much like portrait photos because they fit phone screens.

Pretty crazy that people from South Asia and Middle East have managed to come out and absolutely dominate the pro fighting game scene in recent years. Lots to unpack about international access/bias and how we think of the first world being *the* world. Anyway games are good.
