What do all of these white boxes with ultradwarf bermudagrass samples have in common besides the box itself? They all were diagnosed with mini ring this week. We are diagnosing a LOT of UDB with that disease right now. Heads up!

After four great seasons, today is my last day at Windham GC. It’s a bittersweet goodbye, but I’m super proud of the work we’ve done and the many improvements we’ve made. Thanks to everyone for helping to make my time here successful, and I can’t wait to see whats next for WGC.

Slightly nervous to announce I have accepted my 1st superintendent position. I Would like to thank Tim for an exceptional season of learning and growth and for the time and effort he has put into making me feel I can even remotely do this.

Hey Connecticut…if you’re on the tail end of your last dollar spot spray might want to re-apply. Pressure is going to go through the roof this weekend.

Great day yesterday at @uconn with @UConnTurfpath looking at the latest and greatest bentgrass varieties. This study hasn’t not received any pesticide applications in 2024. The foreground was chewings fescue. @MVPGenetics Cool stuff.

Its not every day you make it onto a national magazine cover! So very grateful of @GCM_Magazine and the @GCSAA for making this happen and for selecting me for the Emerging Leader Award that I received back in February. #ctmafia @CAGCS1929

Looks like some pythium foliar blight appearing on some fairway areas. Small black spots that appear to be expanding with an abundance of mycelium. Spray out tomorrow on fairway surfaces. @UConnTurfpath

Seeing a lot of pythium blight in the region with the high night temps and humidity. Particularly where water sits from recent rain. Phosphites ok most years for New England but this stretch of weather is calling for true pythium fungicides.
