Good morning! I’m excited to walk you through a day in the life of a UTSW Medpsycher. I’m Kayla Murphy, the other medpsych intern! This week I’m on neurology consults at clements (our university hospital) and this morning I’m eating breakfast tacos with our Med students. 😃

Every Friday the psych interns get together for happy hour...but this week was my turn to plan and as I am the world's biggest procrastinator, it's pushed to tomorrow. In the meantime I'll be at home with a pizza and these 2. Thanks for joining me today! Cheers to the weekend 🥂

This week the general ID team saw not 1...not 2...but 3 cases of malaria which is absolutely unheard of! Who knew I'd need to know the stages of malaria past Step 1 😅

I got to work with such an incredible team on ID the past week and we ended our time on the service walking out of the hospital together like the end of cheesy 80s movie

Such a cool day for a Twitter takeover because I saw the COOLEST case today and I am 1000% nerding out and can't wait to write my case report 🤓

Lunch and learning go together like lamb and tuna fish! (Does anyone understand that reference??) IM daily noon conferences with catered lunches M-F are the best

Truly didn't realize the enormity of Parkland until I saw it for the first time. 882 beds compared to 640 at my med school 😱. On my way in for my last day on ID consults. Gotta love that 8 AM start time for consult life ☺️
