This data ONLY counts when a Pokemon has their Mega Stone equipped as an item. ie., a Garchomp with a Life Orb or a Tyranitar with an Assault Vest are NOT included in these numbers.

@mateusxp60 @grok He's used as a rain setter, as he is expected to get Drizzle as his ability when he Mega Evolves. Some players are running a Trick Room version of a rain team, with Pokemon like Archaludon, Sinistcha, and Primarina. Please do not tag Grok, thank you!

@VGChampStats This has been to be the greatest insight into the future of the Champions meta I've seen so far. Can I use the stats for a video? Don't want to load their server trying to scrape it myself. With credits for everyone ofcourse.

I used a tool to scrape the data from every replay to get the numbers. It's the closest we can get until Showdown releases an official ladder.

@VGChampStats Just curious how did you actually manage to get this data?

@OomBlinx Maybe! I think people are definitely defaulting to comfortable options, which skews these options towards Reg H. Still, if you're trying to build a team, you'll need to prepare more for Sneasler and Archaludon than you will for Gengar or Kangaskhan, which is perhaps surprising.

@VGChampStats Isn’t this a bit misleading statistic in a way? Especially when people are trying out random stuff? You’re only running 1-2 megas, with tons to try out, but you’re probably throwing “insert busted reg H pokemon here” on every team regardless with not much experimentation.

Garchomp - 11.1% (6.9% Z, 4.2% standard)
Dragonite - 52.1%
Tyranitar - 32.2%
Charizard - 99.1% (95% Y, 4.1% X)
Gengar - 97.6%
Metagross - 92.5%
