Okay so you picked a role. Now here is exactly how to research and pitch it so you actually get a response. ➥ Step 1: Find the right projects to pitch. Do not pitch blindly. → Go to Web3 job boards Crypto Jobs List, Web3 Career, Crypto rank etc. → Search for projects actively hiring in your role category. → If they are hiring for a Community Manager and you want to be their Retention Manager that project already knows they have a people problem. You are walking into a warm conversation. ➥ Step 2: Research them before you say a word. → Spend 30 minutes inside their world before you pitch. → Go through their X page how is their engagement really? → Join their Discord is the community active or dead? → Use their product where does the experience break down? → Read their last 10 announcements what problems keep coming up? You are not looking for what they are doing well. You are looking for the gap between where they are and where they are trying to go. That gap is your pitch. ➥ Step 3: Build a micro sample before you reach out. → Do not show up empty handed. → If you want the Onboarding Specialist role, go through their onboarding flow and document exactly where new users get lost. → Write a one page breakdown of the problem and how you would fix it. If you want the Ecosystem Researcher role pull together a short competitor analysis. Three projects in their space. What they are doing differently. What the gaps are. → If you want the Token Education role write one thread explaining their token in the simplest language possible. Show them what their community could understand if someone explained it properly. This is your proof of work. It took you two hours. It will do more than a CV ever could. Step 4: Write the pitch. Keep it short. Three parts only. → What you noticed "I went through your onboarding flow and noticed new users are dropping off at step 3. This is why it is happening." → What you would do about it "Here is a quick breakdown of how I would fix it. I already started putting it together link below." → The soft ask "If this is useful and you want to talk about working together I am open to it. No pressure either way." That is it. No long introduction. No list of your qualifications. No "I am a passionate Web3 enthusiast." Just a problem, a solution, and an open door. ➥ Step 5: Send it to the right person. Not the official email. Not the contact form. Find the founder, the community lead, or the growth manager on X. Watch what they post. Engage genuinely for a few days. Then send the pitch as a DM warm, not cold. A warm DM to the right person will always outperform a cold email to the wrong inbox. This is the full system. Research. Sample. Pitch. Right person. Everyone is applying for the same 5 Web3 roles. → Community Manager. → Content Creator. → Social Media Manager. → Project Ambassador. → Growth Intern. And because everyone is applying for the same roles, everyone is competing against the same 500 people. Meanwhile there are entire categories of Web3 work that projects desperately need filled and almost nobody is positioning themselves for. Here is where the real opportunity is right now: ➥ Onboarding Specialists. Most Web3 projects have a product people cannot figure out how to use. The person who can simplify that journey in plain language, with real empathy is worth more than a content creator who just posts about the project. ➥ Ecosystem Researchers. Projects need people who track what competitors are doing, what narratives are shifting, what the ecosystem looks like week by week. This is not a glamorous role but it is a sticky one. Once a project relies on your research they keep you. ➥ Token Education Creators. Not KOLs who shill. Creators who actually explain tokenomics, utility, and use cases in a way that makes new users feel smart instead of confused. This is rare. Projects pay well for it. ➥ Partnership Scouts. Finding projects to collaborate with, tracking ecosystem players, identifying co-marketing opportunities. Most projects have nobody doing this consistently. ➥ Retention Managers. Getting users is not the hard part anymore. Keeping them is. The person who can build systems that bring users back email sequences, engagement loops, community activities is solving a problem every project has. The roles everyone is chasing are crowded. The roles nobody is chasing are waiting. Pick one. Build proof of work around it. Pitch it directly to projects as a specific solution. That is how you stop competing and start getting chosen.

Before I say my GN CT! Y’all should check this out Now while everyone else was outside “touching grass,” I was deep in research mode : digging through projects, studying narratives, and searching for the next solid play. That’s when I remembered this project I met during a Space , hosted by @WolvesRedByte ; @thespotdotapp This isn’t just another project. It’s a SocialFi platform aiming to flip the script for creators. No more random account suspensions, no more creating value without getting rewarded. The goal is simple: creators should earn from the content they put out. Period. During the AMA, a lot of tough questions were asked : and answered. I took my time to really listen, engage, and do proper due diligence. I won’t overhype it ; but it’s definitely something worth looking into. Before I call it a night: Go do your own research.
