14 prior arrests with only one prison sentence … that’s literally “caught and released repeatedly”. What’s funny is, you’re actually making Republican talking points for us. The whole “he didn’t spend much time in prison” is exactly the point we are making. With 14 prior arrests, including 2 since his release from prison, he should have been in prison but the legal system goes easy on people like him, which is what led to her murder. I love it when my political opponents make my own points for me and they’re not smart enough to realize they’re doing it. It makes me laugh … ha ha ha

@qualitylearnc Why are conservatives so addicted/committed to being ignorant? Her killer served hard time. He wasn't just caught & released repeatedly. It's just not true. Since his release from prison 5 years prior to the stabbing, he had few run-ins with the law & no major/felony arrests.

And now, instead of standing with her family, the same crowd tears down her memorial to avoid accountability. This is the hypocrisy. They won’t remove the policies that failed her. They remove the reminder of the life that was lost. They don’t want justice. They want silence. Americans deserve leaders who protect the innocent, not excuse the guilty.

For years Rhode Island has been pushing to disarm women and endanger their lives, but the same type of career criminal that killed Iryna isn't going to stop hurting people just because of a law. If society isn't going to protect us, women need to be able to protect ourselves. This isn’t remembrance... It’s erasure. Protect women. Remember Iryna. Don’t let them erase her memory.
