Even as a former boy I have to agree with this chilling (and accurate) insight. &..! The more I think about Barbie, the more I admire how thoroughly the film polishes the many facets of our species' gender expression/interaction. (1/)

It's careful not to promise us anything. This film is not an instruction manual for life. It's simply a summary of what we know. Barbie is *bravely* straightforward. And the box office reports are so encouraging for the future of queer inclusion in the mainstream. (6/6)

It may not have covered *everything* that we know or will ever know about our interactions with other humans (that would be a fantastic thing to demand of Gerwig after hearing Ferrera's monologue), but that's the beauty of the ending-- (5/)
