real ball knowers have realized that sims took off because SE fucked up the design of DSR P6 and created a phase so miserable to prog "normally" that world racers were crashing out on twitter during RWF then they did it again with TOP P5 lmao

@tenkayshijou Oh yeah. Although DSR is IMO equally at fault here; most of the shit that was popularized in TOP started in or because of DSR Like the first big modern sim (discounting KR Wormhole and MSPaint UWU sims) was for Wroth/Death, not TOP, same with AM (Wroth)

@ZenthonPrime The mental impact TOP had on people is rarely brought up and part of the underlying cause for a lot of the current attitudes

the "sims are bad" convo was really funny during 6.3 when like 95% of people that cleared TOP before sims fucking hated the fight at the time
