Specialist Four Roger Ridgely Chambliss, of Birmingham Michigan, who served with the 1st Aviation Brigade, 164th Aviation Group, C Troop 16th Cavalry. Roger was fatally wounded on October 31, 1972 in the Dinh Tuong province of South Vietnam. He was 20 years old. A recipient of the the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal and the Purple Heart Medal, Specialist Four Chambliss is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 01W Line 86.
