@deecolonizer Definitely. We tryna work on a presentation to appeal to leadership/boards about re/introducing some precautions by framing it as an “attendance issue.” Wish us luck 🫠

[qrt] thank u for clarifying bc u didn't have to! i think the "safer, masked fun" part is nice, aesthetically; however, it also requires a salient follow thru with regard to theory in order for it to be effective.

This too! I also engage in outdoor/home-based cc activities. I only started this other stuff again in 2024. To be real, I refused to keep exclusively risking it all going to work/school/home with ppl that did not mask & exposed me anyway. I know it’s not ideal 😖 just my truth

@deecolonizer Chile, you know Covid a lot of folks first time being involved in activism/community. They be having the disability part with no class analysis or sense of how this might disproportionately affect different races/ethnicities/countries. Thank you again for sharing tho 🙌🏽

@_lynesia THANK U!!! omg im so tired of ppl w/ their classist ass rhetoric against surgicals and cloth masks bc they've suddenly gained access to "higher quality" masks. we do not have to be uniform in our approach to pandemic mitigation esp. since we dont have the same access!

here is a non-exhaustive thread on the various modifications you can apply to surgical masks to increase their efficacy at preventing airborne illness (95% effective like N95 masks). combining these modifications will increase your mask's efficacy 🧵

It’s almost like SexEd. Solely focusing on abstinence just isn’t quite as effective messaging as a solid health campaign, sharing resources and info, organizing and creating spaces/a culture that supports safer sex (masking/ventilation/so on). Again, a thought🖐🏽😶🤚🏽 Don’t jump me

I go to a minimum of 2 conferences, 12 concerts and 1 vacay a year. I also go to parties, festivals, meetings and other events. I test and isolate as necessary as well. I only hope to make more friends to join me #maskup

licorice root is an antiviral (w/ many other benefits) that works better than paxlovid w/ less side effects. u can consume it via tea or supplement (be sure its made w/ the actual root)

@_lynesia also, my moot made a comprehensive document on a nontoxic super disinfectant that one can make for very cheap. it has literally helped me so much as it can be aerosolized and inhaled to remove pathogens from ur lungs. u should look into it
