Y’all need to make up your minds. First y’all said Black women have eurocentric features. Then y’all said we have male features. Now you’re saying we share features with East Asian women which means y’all lied when y’all said we are commonly “mistaken for being transgender.”
(((yuri scribe zion / noct))) 🍉@yurimaxed

“Noses are too flat and jaws are too angular” wow the typical East Asian face and the typical Black face is like strikingly similar which only makes the antiblackness one might get from East Asians crazier to witness imo

Except most suburban black girls wear our own hair The most I’ve seen is sew ins?? A lot of us wear our own curly hair out or get silk presses
JT@charmbrxcelet

@smoke_nd_pearlz a lot of them give me, suburban black girl who finally embraced her blackness in hs/college and now has the audacity to dictate the "right" way to be black.

Y’all are never going to convince me that the demographic that fights to be the face of wearing bonnets and pajamas outside, thinks going to the gym is “white supremacy”, and wears bat lashes paired with a hot pink wig cares about beauty standards.
M00N⛥@FAIRYM00NSTAR

the problem is many black women simply don’t feel as beautiful with their natural hair in comparison to wigs/braids. even thought it’s not our fault, we gotta start finding ways to find beauty in our natural states that aren’t modified to fit european beauty standards

@cheatonhimplz I’m blocking her too for bringing this post over here. Most of us would’ve never even known this post existed if she didn’t post it over here. 🤷‍♀️

@Puff_Iya I refuse to play Black women’s stupid games. When y’all say “single moms”, y’all are referring to mothers who have never been (and will never be) married and have children with Black males. We already know y’all can’t stand Black women who date out or divorced mothers.

Y’all think being a single mom is the worse thing because you know you and your circle would never give one enough support to make that not the case. But I’ll hush

@tegohentai We never said she herself was a mammy. We said her character was purposefully designed and written as a mammy stereotype. In real life, she is beautiful, but she was made to look downtrodden in Sinners. That was done on purpose.

@blackdovewings @celltowerr Mind you, these same low class Black men with neglected dreads would never give a Black woman who wears her natural hair the time of day, but mammies gone mammy till they can’t mammy anymore!

@celltowerr Wearing natural hair is not about forcing black women to like every natural hair style. Black women who wear afro’s aren’t all wearing their afro’s the same. All these women aren’t going to have the same aesthetic, the point is to normalize natural hair

@blackdovewings What kills me is that wearing wigs does not make a woman universally desirable. If anything, it has the opposite effect. The beauty standard is healthy. long hair that is REAL not fake.

Improving/enhancing what you were born with vs hiding how you naturally look. This is why we have to stop trying to shift the point. The problem is not that ppl do things to be desirable it’s WHAT people are doing and these same ppl trying to lecture others
Shezi@__Shezi

And anyway, people who aren’t wearing weaves or braids are also doing other things to be more universally desirable. Obsession with “good skin”; obsession with being thin; obsession with being fit; obsession with being smarter than everyone. Everyone is doing something. So, rest
