I followed Rory as long as they would let me, and did my best to document it all here, from what actually happened to what it felt like to be there. Would be honored if you'd read: golfdigest.com/story/us-open-…

Wrote a piece about grinding out rounds when you don't have your best stuff and how they've become some of my favorite rounds to play ... I'm sure plenty out there can understand where I'm coming from here. thefriedegg.com/gasparilla-inv…

"I'll quit if I have to quit because I'm not gonna sacrifice my family for golf, but I don't want to quit." On the brink of stepping away from the game in order to support his family, Matt Atkins was overcome with emotion after Monday qualifying @TheRSMClassic.

George Bryan IV making the cut in his PGA TOUR debut at age 35 isn't cool because he has a YouTube channel. It's awesome because he's a guy utterly enraptured with the game -- from a family who based their entire lives around this silly sport -- whose love has often been unrequited. This is about a game that is often so cruel finally giving back to someone who has devoted his life to it. It's about someone finally getting a taste of his dream after years (decades?) of waiting. When he was a kid, George would wake up at 6 a.m. to do drills at the makeshift golf academy that his father ran out of the family's backyard in rural South Carolina. George eventually became a 3x All-American at South Carolina, hanging with and beating guys who went on to have success on the TOUR. "If I had a dollar for every time I was at a PGA TOUR event and had a PGA TOUR player tell me how good George's golf swing is, I'd be a rich, rich man," Wesley said. George was South Carolina's Male Athlete of the Year alongside Whit Merrifield, who went on to become a MLB All-Star. But for whatever reason, that success didn't follow when George turned pro. He was too hard on himself, put too much pressure on himself and cared too much. He's a sensitive and empathetic guy in a profession that requires a certain amount of ruthlessness. He didn't just fall short of the PGA TOUR. He didn't come close. After all that amateur success, he's played in just four Korn Ferry Tour events in his 13-year career and never on TOUR before this week. He'd made it to Q-School's second stage just once before this year (he's playing second stage again in a couple weeks). During all that he had to watch his younger brother surpass him and achieve all the things that George had dreamt about. The Bryans say they are each other's No. 1 fans but it has to sting to be so close to that success and yet so far. "I've always wanted just to say I played in a PGA TOUR event," George said last week. His father played in the 1999 PGA Championship and 2004 RBC Heritage. Wesley is a PGA TOUR winner. (Heck, even their sister played DI college golf.) George isn't the exception among the Bryan men anymore. He can not only join them in saying that he got to tee it up on TOUR, but he can now say he cashed a check, as well. That's why this is such a cool story. Because it's about seeing someone finally achieve his dream after all those years of waiting.

Brady Calkins chews Copenhagen, drinks double jack and cokes, cusses often, has set course records hungover, and dominates mini-tours. But there is much more to the story and it includes a blue-collar town, where he grew up, that loves him. firepitcollective.com/the-legend-of-…

Alright. I figured out the Solana x Wormhole Bridge hack. ~300 million dollars worth of ETH drained out of the Wormhole Bridge on Ethereum. Here's how it happened.
