SAMADHI, THE ULTIMATE MEANS OF KNOWLEDGE Yoga and Vedanta recognize that the authoritative means (pramana) of truth perception is not the senses, mind or intellect, any instrument or machine. universal truth and reality (Brahman/Atman) can only be experienced in Samadhi, unitary awareness, knowledge by identity, Pure Consciousness beyond the mind and its illusions.

Unassociated Pure Reality: Q: On inquiry into the origin of thoughts, there is a perception of 'I', but it does not satisfy me. M: Quite right. The perception of ‘I’ is associated with a form, maybe the body, or a thought. There should be nothing associated with the pure Self. The Self is the unassociated pure Reality, in whose light the body, the ego, etc, shine. On stilling all thoughts, the pure Consciousness remains. At the time of waking up from sleep and before becoming aware of the world, there is that pure 'I-I'. Hold onto it without sleeping and without allowing thoughts to possess you. If That is held firm, it does not matter even if the world is seen; the seer will remain unaffected by the phenomena. If there were not the activities of waking thoughts and dream thoughts, there would not be the corresponding worlds, i.e, no perception of them. In deep sleep, there are no such activities, and the world does not then exist for us. In dreamless sleep, there is no world, no ego, and no unhappiness. But the Self remains. In the waking state, there are all these; yet there is the Self. One has only to remove the transitory happenings to realize the ever-present beatitude of the Self. Your nature is Bliss. Find that on which all the rest are superimposed, and you will then remain as the pure Self. ~~ Conscious Immortality @davidfrawleyved @indira_hyd @NarayanCha92762 @Jayalko1 @OnlyWitnessing

a thought only becomes powerful when you believe it. the moment you stop believing every negative thought in your head is the moment your life starts getting lighter. your mind will tell you all kinds of things when you’re trying to grow. that you’re not good enough, that you’re behind, that you’ll fail, that nobody believes in you but let me remind you. your mind is not always telling you the truth. “fear speaks the loudest right before you’re about to change your life.” that voice in your head knows all your insecurities, all your weak spots, all the pain you carry. it knows exactly what to say to make you doubt yourself again.but you have to take a stand. you have to say you know what, NO i am not buying into this, that's bullshit. This isn't true. A thought has no power, you have the power.. that’s the secret. thoughts by themselves are nothing. they pass through your mind like clouds passing through the sky. you are the one giving them meaning. you are the one handing them power. the moment you stop buying into every negative story your mind creates, everything starts changing. protect your energy. protect your belief in yourself. not every thought deserves your attention. not every fear deserves your trust. sometimes the strongest thing you can do is look at the chaos in your mind and say “no. i don’t believe you anymore.”

Music is the most evolutionarily inexplicable hit of dopamine your brain gives you for free. Every other reward in the human body has a survival logic. Food keeps you alive. Sex propagates genes. Even cocaine works by hijacking pathways built for actual functions. Music has no equivalent justification. It's patterned vibrations of air that trigger the same response in your nucleus accumbens as any of them. The Salimpoor study at McGill scanned people listening to their favorite songs and found something stranger than the dopamine release itself. The peak emotional moment and the dopamine release happen in different brain regions at different times. The caudate fires roughly 15 seconds before the chills hit. By the time you feel goosebumps, the dopamine has already peaked. Your brain rewards you for predicting the climax. The climax itself arrives after the chemistry is already done. That's why every great song uses the same trick. Build a pattern. Violate it just enough that your prediction was almost right. Resolve it. The chills come when reality confirms a slightly better version of what you anticipated. Music engages more brain regions simultaneously than almost any other human activity. Motor cortex tracks rhythm even when you sit still. Auditory cortex parses pitch. Limbic system handles emotion. Prefrontal cortex layers memory on top. Cerebellum runs timing. You use more neural surface area listening to a 3-minute song than you use driving a car. And it's the last thing to go. Late-stage Alzheimer's patients who can't recognize their children can still sing every word of a song they loved at 22. Music is encoded somewhere the disease doesn't reach. Patterned air. That's the whole input. Everything else is your brain.

The research behind this is wild. Your kitchen sponge has the same density of bacteria as human stool. German scientists found 54 billion bacterial cells per cubic centimeter inside used sponges in 2017. Yours is sitting right next to your sink. Sponges are the perfect home for bacteria. They are wet, warm, full of food bits, and never fully dry between washes. Across all 14 sponges, the team found 362 different types of bacteria. The most common species include strains that can make people sick. In 2011, the public health group NSF International swabbed 30 things in 22 American homes. The dirtiest object in the entire house was the kitchen sponge. It was dirtier than the toilet seat. 75% of the sponges tested positive for the kind of bacteria that includes Salmonella and E. coli. Microwaving does not clean the sponge. The 2017 study found microwaved sponges had higher amounts of the smelliest, most harmful bacteria. Heat kills the weak strains. The strong ones survive and refill the sponge with no competition for space. A 2021 Norwegian study compared kitchen sponges to dish brushes. In brushes, Salmonella was wiped out within three days because the bristles dry out between uses. In sponges, bacteria climbed to about a billion cells per sponge. The lead researcher told CNN that one kitchen sponge can hold more bacteria than there are people on Earth. Three things actually work. Switch to a dish brush, because brushes dry fully between uses while sponges stay wet for hours. Replace your sponge every one to two weeks. Never leave it sitting wet in the sink. Norway and Denmark already do this by default, but most other countries don't. The detergent is fine. Your sponge is the problem.

@theerealtao No. Advaita Vedanta literally says question reality itself. Zen tells you to kill dogma through direct experience. Taoism mocks rigid belief systems. Sufism questions the ego, ritual, and even concepts of separation from God. The strongest traditions are built on questions
