$REMIT fam! We’ve listened to your requests for revenue sharing NOW! Many community members would prefer to get a share of BlockRemit’s generated revenue right now, without waiting for V2 or staking to go live. So we’re going to make that happen! Here’s the details on how that would work: But first, a few caveats. These are important to read, and not meeting ALL the criteria will prevent you from accessing the full value available to you. Currently, BlockRemit generates revenue through trading taxes. There is a 5% total tax placed on all $REMIT trades, 1% of which goes to pay devs, and 4% of which goes to marketing. We will henceforth be redirecting the 1% that was previously for devs to be used to reward holders based on some certain criteria! To sweeten the pot even more, at random days in the week four times a month, we will switch the ratios around, which means the 4% tax will be available to be shared among holders, which will be a 4x increase in revenue sharing versus using just the 1% tax. Here are the criteria you need to meet to ensure you’re eligible to claim rewards - you must hold $REMIT for a few days after purchase before you can start claiming rewards. This is to prevent non community members from taking part. - unless the 4% tax is being utilized for payouts, the max cap on payouts is the total of the 1% tax collected on that specific day. No more and no less. - a minimum of 75K $REMIT will be required before you can earn rewards. - “association” of wallets is not allowed (ie one user using multiple wallets to game the system) Over the next few days, we will release even more info about this new revenue sharing model.
