For those saying “performance might sell, but it’s expensive to deliver”—no it isn’t. Software developers today put *extra effort* into the hundreds of unnecessary layers in their code. They are paying *more* for *slower* software. Straightforward code, written with basic knowledge of the computer, with 0 actual “optimization” is lightning fast compared to most code today.
