@Pirat_Nation Devastating news for the massive player base of 15 users.

@justbyte_ Unless you’re in a busy or overcrowded household and need somewhere to get away and work, no.

@SephMoJo @RinoTheBouncer The whole point of the OP is to discuss? Who hurt you? As per my previous points.
English

It's literally optional the same way all levels of DLSS are optional. Why is this even an issue being discussed? Your complaint is that a studio now has to set the DLSS slider and view the rendering to see if they like it. Do you know how much time and money they will save on prototype rendering iterations and the months of manual engine optimization required for various hardware?
English

@SephMoJo @RinoTheBouncer Making a 3D model and how it behaves in the rendering pipeline are two different problems. The real workload isn’t flagging, It’s developers having to test and fix assets when AI reconstruction changes the intended look..forced by my previous points. Interesting discussion though

@brissandei @RinoTheBouncer Before someone gets the wrong idea here, I know you haven't because you would know this is already a step in the process. It uses the same streamlined process already used in determining the level of upscaling you want to allow for your model.
English

@SephMoJo @RinoTheBouncer It will force extra dev workload and Visual inconsistency between masked/unmasked elements, forcing studios to not bother masking…because time is money. This indirectly forces the direction and trend of DLSS5 AI art style changes. Your take stops at surface level.
English

@brissandei @RinoTheBouncer It doesn't force anything. Are you daft? The developer has the option to mask off their models from AI upscaling.
English

@SephMoJo @RinoTheBouncer NVIDIA is over 70%+ of the Steam GPUs. Studios will ship it because that’s where most users are. Add RTX marketing deals and driver support, it becomes hard to ignore for devs. This Forces DLSS5’s sloppy art style across most games. You’re oversimplifying, you don’t understand.
English

@brissandei @RinoTheBouncer So, basically what I can gather from your comment is that you have no clue what you are talking about because it actually is within their control.
English

@SephMoJo @RinoTheBouncer If devs remaster a game, then it’s their choice to reimagine their art/design. This is not real or decided by the devs.
English

@brissandei @RinoTheBouncer Intended... Devs remastering their games completely nullifies these "intended" arguments.
English

@NVIDIAGeForce Things are so cooked I’m rooting for an Intel comeback. Let that sink in.

Stop normalising AI-generated frames and rendering tricks in games. Thanks NVIDIA.
