You cannot manufacture an all rounder just by making them bowl more. That should be obvious. Look at how Dube, despite all the hype before the tournament, became unbowlable towards the end of the World Cup. If you are good enough to be a 6th bowler, you will prove it even in an impact sub setup, like Hardik Pandya and Andre Russell did, or like Will Jacks, Aiden Markram, Rachin Ravindra, and even Jacob Bethell are capable of doing.

@Aman06072302 That one bid pushed KKR out of the title race in 2025, and in 2026, they got Venkatesh, too, to strengthen their bench. Some 4D chess this is, and I saw it coming cause no way KKR was going to retain Venkatesh for that high.

@Aman06072302 They plan for the worst possible scenarios now. Look at their auction strategies in 2025 and 2026. Although they almost made a blunder by buying Venkatesh for a high price, KKR indeed made a fool of themselves. Apart from that, they know what they need and the clarity of roles.

There is definitely something different done by the RCB management in the last few years. They were shit before and now they plan well, play well and execute well. A good environment in the team as well. What has changed?
