My Marshall McDougall story: 2023, I’m at the Publix in Dade City, FL. A jacked 45-55 year old dude walks by me. He’s wearing a “______ High School Baseball” shirt, I forget the name of the school. I think to myself, “Is that Marshall McDougall?” I hadn’t thought of that name or seen a picture of him in 20 years. I googled _____ High School and, yes, Marshall McDougall was their coach.

On this day in 1999, Marshall McDougall put together arguably the greatest individual game in baseball history 🤯 The Florida State slugger went 7-for-7 with: ⚾ 6 HR ⚾ 16 RBI ⚾ 25 total bases All NCAA single-game records. After singling in his first at-bat against Maryland, McDougall homered in his next SIX plate appearances, completing a “home run cycle” with a solo shot, 2-run HR, 3-run HR and grand slam in a 26-2 win.

Many years ago, I stopped saying "thanks" and started saying "Thank you". I legit erased thanks from my vocabulary. It wasn't sincere enough. I value you the conversation to much to just say thanks.

Comments like these always chap me. It's way too emotional and lacks factual context. I don't know this number, and I'd like to figure it out. Maybe @grok can help, but how many jobs do those 925 billionaires create through their various businesses? How much in charity do they give every year? How many of their businesses have helped improve our lives and standard of living? I don't think that they are all doing good moral stuff, but I'd have to believe that they are "generally" impacting our society in a positive way (for the most part).

America has 925 billionaires as of this year. Collectively they have a record $6.9 trillion in wealth. The bottom 50% of Americans control $4.2 trillion in wealth. When 925 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.
