Thinking about making Slonks Canvas work like this: merge level unlocks how much of your Slonk can be customized, and $SLOP is the paint. Level 0 Slonks stay uneditable, but each time Slonks are merged, the surviving Slonk unlocks more editable pixel space based on how many Slonks were combined into it: level 1 gets 8 editable pixels, level 2 gets 24, level 3 gets 56, and level 6 gets 504. Every pixel edit burns 1 $SLOP, uses the existing 222-color Slonks palette, and is stored onchain as a permanent paint layer over the Slonk’s normal rendered image. Painted pixels are for customization, not extra $SLOP claims. Merge to unlock space, burn $SLOP to paint.
